Back in 2018, I was leading backcountry expeditions and noticed something crazy - folks would show up with all the gear but none of the conditioning. They'd be gassed by day two, missing out on the best parts of the experience.
That's when it hit me. We needed a place in Whistler that actually understood what mountain athletes go through. Not just your standard gym with machines and mirrors, but somewhere that gets the real demands of altitude, endurance, and the kind of functional strength you need when you're 3000 meters up and there's no turning back.
Started in a tiny 800 sq ft space with basic equipment and a dream. Now? We've trained everyone from weekend warriors to professional ski patrollers, mountain bikers, and climbers heading to Everest base camp.
The name Zephyr comes from those mountain winds - they're unpredictable, they push you, and they remind you that nature doesn't care about your comfort zone. That's the energy we bring here.
